Chanelle

She emerged during a dance scene fueled by the popularity of Club Zanzibar, The Paradise Garage, Charades, and at the time Tony Humphries KISS Radio show. In the 90′s The Jersey starlett worked with a who’s who A-List of dance producers Shedrick Guy, Guy Vaughn, Paul Simpson, Dave Shaw, Roland Clark, Kevin Hedge, Josh Milan, Kerri Chandler, Chris Herbert, Eric Kupper, Al Mack and Calvin Gaines. She appeared on “India’s” first release “The Lover Who Rocks You All Night”, and sang back up on Barbra Roy’s song, “Gotta see you tonight”.  In 1986 Profile Records released her first single called “Is it Good Enough”. Later her breakout hit came from a collaboration with Roland Clark, & David Shaw. But “One Man” hadn’t quite come together yet..Kevin from Blaze heard the tune and he and Josh offered some suggestions as to changing the arrangement, Chris joined in on the backgrounds and Claudia at Profile loved the song. A remix from Def Mixes Frankie Knuckles and David Morales put the icing on the cake. The record performed well and eventually went top 5 on the UK pop charts. Afetr a hiatus she now returns to entertain us yet again New Jersey songstress Chanelle returns with a vengeance with this rousing vocal performance. Like her earlier works,” One Man “,and “Work That Body’,'Lift me To Heaven’ is an uplifting soulful vocal track that commands the audience to sing along. A song written about a relationship so perfect that it’s effect is to ‘lift her straight to heaven ‘and into the arms of angels.
